Cà rốt gọt bỏ vỏ, bào nhỏ. Đường, nước cốt chanh, nước cam và cà rốt cho hết vào chảo hay nồi trộn đều. Bắc lên bếp sên lửa vừa.
Khi nước đường sôi 10 phút, bạn cần phải hạ lửa nhỏ và thỉnh thoảng đảo cà rốt. Sên như thế cho đến khi nước đường sánh lại. Cho mật ong vào, tiếp tục sên cho đường keo lại thật sánh và cạn là tắt bếp. Múc từng ít mứt cà rốt cho ra khay có thoa chút dầu. Chờ hỗn hợp nguội, bạn mới viên tròn và lăn qua chén dừa khô vụn.
